How to Plan a Hawaiian Destination Wedding

If you’re looking for a picture-perfect wedding location with the natural beauty of the ocean, sandy beaches, and perfect weather, look no further than Maui! Planning a destination wedding can be a bit more complicated than a wedding in your local state, so it’s important to think ahead about things like your goals and guest list far in advance. Before you start to stress about the details, take a look at these tips from your friends at AllSave Car Rental.

Plan for Your Guests

Because there are so many excellent places to hold a wedding in Hawaii, your first step should be to make your guest list. Your venue will greatly depend on the size of your wedding so decide early whether you want a large party or a small, private event. Depending on the number of guests you plan for, you can choose from a number of historic places of worship, centuries-old villas, and palm-fringed beaches that could be the backdrop for your ceremony.

Plan Your Attire

The ideal atmosphere for beach weddings is casual—but not too casual. It’s the perfect time for brides to experiment with non-conventional gown selections. We advise avoiding the heavy princess gown in favor of something more elegant and lighter. Additionally, strappy or backless gowns are great for beach weddings so you will look stunning without overheating. For the groom, we recommend airy cotton pants or perhaps a light-colored linen suit, like sand or wheat.

Plan Your Transportation

If your wedding is more than just a private ceremony for two, then your bridal party is going to need transportation to get around the islands. We have select models of SUV rentals that can comfortably fit up to seven passengers. Then, after the ceremony, you can plan to stay awhile to tour the best the island has to offer! If you plan on staying for part or all of your honeymoon in Maui, be sure to request one of our car rentals for your entire stay.

For your destination wedding in Maui, you can count on Allsave Car Rental for affordable and reliable rental cars. We have a great selection to choose from, so you’ll be comfortable as you tour the island. Contact us today at (808) 875-9200 to find out more about our rental rates, or make a reservation online.
